Easter and making art for art's sake

We spent Easter on the coast near Port Alfred with my family when my 90 year old grandmother told me  that she is now finally doing what she has been dreaming of doing 'one day' - painting in water colour.  She ran a successful pottery business for many years which was very hard work and dictated by trends and customer's likes and dislikes. Now at the age of 90, she paints proliferately and is free to choose her subjects without pressure from others.  She keeps most paintings in a drawer and is content to leave them just there - no need to earn a living off art as she did for so many years.  Granny, you deserve making art for art's sake.
